Drysuit from the American NRS, specially developed for rescue swimmers, river rescue and rescuers, but a good suit can also be used by boatmen and much the like. In Norway, the NRS Extreme SAR drysuit is already in widespread use among several rescue services in Norway, such as the Red Cross and the fire service.

The NRS Extreme SAR is very durable and robust, as well as constructed with a material that both breathes and provides good flexibility. The dry suit also has a number of functions and practical details specially developed by and for rescue. Not least, the suit copes with all types of surfaces, conditions and terrain. The NRS Extreme SAR is designed to withstand several years of beating.

The newer version of the drysuit is also made with fewer seams, which makes it lighter in weight. The suit also gets more stretch in the material from this and generally better mobility. This comes in handy in physically demanding rescue operations (whether it's practice or serious).

The suit is supplied with fixed latex socks, but a range of shoes or work boots (Trek boots) from BARE can be fitted instead of soft socks. Get in touch as we have many different options.

Features and characteristics

• Dry suit specially developed for rescue and water rescue
• Durable Cordura reinforcements on butt, elbow and knee
• Neoprene protection over the latex at wrists and neck (this also provides extra insulation and warmth)
• Protection above the ankle prevents stones/sand from getting into the shoe
• Neoprene padding on the knees and elbows for extra protection (you can easily rest your knees in the pile of stones without getting hurt)
• Internal braces allow you to wear the suit open from the waist and easily adjust the size
• Self-draining pocket on the leg (the pocket is also spacious for useful accessories)
• Reflective around the wrist and on the calf (3M™ Scotchlite)
• Zipper in the fly
• The drysuit's material: 320 denier 3-layer TriTon (waterproof and breathable)
• Latex socks are fitted, but can be supplied with neoprene socks or a variety of robust shoes with anti-slip soles (please contact)
• The NRS Extreme SAR is light in weight - size M/L weighs, for example, 2.4 kg
• Seams are glued and coated with liquid rubber RSeal™. Guaranteed to stay tight year after year (we also sell glue and maintenance equipment separately)
• Available in 2 colours: Red or light green (Hi Vis Green)
