Konfidence original swim jackets arecomfortable swimming vests in warm neoprene, made for swimming, swimming training and water play. The vest provides the correct position in the water and makes it easy to learn to swim. The back is made of visible yellow neoprene so that the child should be easy to see in the crowd around the swimming pool or in the sea. The vest was first launched in 1998 and has since become a bestseller in over 25 countries. All the floating elements can be removed and adapted to the child's swimming skills.
NB: this is not a life jacket, but is intended as an aid to swimming training and playing in water.

How Konfidence swim party works: The life jacket has 8 buoyancy elements which are numbered on the inside. This makes it easy for parents to adjust the level as the child becomes more confident in the water. As the swimming technique improves, buoyancy elements are selected in a specified order, so that the child has to "work" more to stay afloat. The floating elements are removed two by two, and in the end you have a fish in the water in the family.
When the child learns to swim, the vest can still be used for reasons of visibility and safety. Konfidence swimming vest still also provides warmth through the fabric (80% neoprene and 20% lycra) and general comfort. It also protects against the sun and UV rays with SPF +30.

Testing: The original Konfidence vest has been tested to EN13138-1 (2008), the current standard for Class B buoyancy aids for swimming. This includes materials and buoyancy testing to ensure it is well made, robust and fit for purpose. It has also been tested and complies with AS1900 (Australia) and SA SANS53138-2 (South Africa). In addition, we have tested the outer material for UV protection qualities.
Maintenance: The life vest is hand washed. Since chlorine has a bleaching effect over time, we recommend rinsing the vest after use. Do not dry the vest in direct sunlight.
