Lead stopper from Hollis, made in acid-resistant steel. The weight stopper has serrated edges. Serrated edges usually lock somewhat better than a completely "plain" weight stopper", and the webbing/belt will not slip. Rubber lead belts for freediving will not require such stoppers, as the weights are all firmly molded against the rubber.
Weight stoppers are used on nylon belts and webbing for harnesses, and can be used for, among other things:
• "lock" D-rings on the harness
• "ensure" the correct setting of the harness at the two bottom grommets on the back plate
• "lock" lead weights on the belt so they don't move
