Just across the North Sea, we found a very good equipment manufacturer of wetsuits and similar neoprene products through NCW (North Coast Wetsuits) in Cornwall, England.

The children's suits from NCW come in 5mm all over, and are very good in both warmth, durability and fit.

As a rule, children's wetsuits come in 3mm, 3/2mm or 5/3mm (which are thinner on the arms/legs). With 5mm over the entire body, you get a better insulating ability.

These wetsuits are still very soft and elastic, and are made in an extra soft and stretchy neoprene.

One of the unique things about these suits is that they cover sizes for children as young as 1 year. So that the very little ones can also get something other than thin shorties and cold lycra suits.

Areas of use

Perfect wetsuit for water sports, swimming, snorkelling, boating/beach life and swimming training in the water. For freediving we recommend other models.

Functions and technical characteristics

• 5mm overall, with 5mm thickness all over.
• Neoprene in high quality and with comfortable "super stretch".
• All seams are made with a blind stitch and all joints are additionally glued for the least possible penetration of water.
• Finemesh nylon on almost the entire upper body, which is almost windproof.
• Duratex protection on the knees for extra durability.
• Visible yellow areas above the shoulders for extra visibility, and it makes it easier to see the children on the surface.
• Heavy duty zip over the back at the back, which also has a Velcro fastener that holds it in place at the top, and not least fabric behind the zip against the body so that water does not penetrate.
