Children and snorkel
When breathing in a snorkel, you must breathe extra deeply to ensure fresh air to the lungs. This is particularly important for children who have smaller lungs than us adults. Children under the age of 7 should not use a snorkel at all. Children from this age and up to a body weight of around 50 kg can use a children's snorkel with a volume of 1-1.2 dl, under the supervision of adults. All children under the age of 12 must use a junior snorkel and not a normal senior snorkel.
