Repair and maintenance of wetsuits

Have you suffered an injury in your wetsuit? Here's how you can easily fix it yourself:

• First glue the neoprene together with Black Witch neoprene glue (for large tears or nail marks) and let it harden.

• Then apply a thin layer of Aquasure+FD outside the wound the suit (on the nylon), then you seal the repair.

• If you have superficial damage to the outside of the suit, you can apply a thin layer of Aquasure+FD directly on the suit.

• If you have a small nail mark or surface mark on the inside of the suit, apply a thin layer Black Witch Neoprene Glue above the mark.

In this video you see how to glue with Black Witch neoprene glue.

Wash and care for wetsuits

A wetsuit must always be rinsed in clean water after use, and dried without being exposed to the sun. Once in a while you can still do the following:

• Wash the suit with wetsuit shampoo (this is not needed after every dive)

• Clean the suit with deodorizer (only once in a while)

• treat the outside with UV protective spray to avoid fading over a longer period of time
