About Fridykkerloggen
Fridykkerloggen exists to let us inspire each other, share the ocean and care for it through shared enthusiasm. Every trip report — a morning dive in the kelp, a scallop for dinner, the visibility off a familiar headland — is a small invitation: come and see what I saw.
Sharing here is not about giving away your most personal spots. The map protects them: you choose approximate positions, and photo GPS data is always removed. Sharing is about the wish to help others experience what you love so much yourself — in the true spirit of Frivannsliv.
The more we share, the better we understand the coast we dive along — and the more people will care for what lives beneath the surface.

What is Fridykkerloggen?
Fridykkerloggen is a living map of the Norwegian coast where freedivers and spearfishers share trip reports with photos, visibility, temperature and catch — to inspire and help each other. The service is run by Frivannsliv.no.
Who can contribute?
Anyone can view the map and read the reports. To share your own trips, sign in with your Frivannsliv account — the same login as the web shop. It's free.
Do I have to share exact positions?
No. You choose whether the pin is shown exactly or approximately — with approximate, the public pin is shifted randomly 1–3 km and the real position is stored privately. GPS metadata in your photos is always removed automatically.
How do I check the conditions?
Tap anywhere on the map to get tides, wind and weather up to 9 days ahead — straight from the Norwegian Mapping Authority and Yr. Dive sites have their own pages with current conditions.
What are the dive sites and flags?
Reports from the same spot are gathered under a signal flag on the map. The site's own page shows stats, photos, the divers who've been there and today's conditions.
